We're starting early today. We have to deliver at 7:00 a.m. It's going to L'oreal. Too bad they don't give out samples. The guard was sooo nice. He reminded me of a man that I used to work with, Francis Guy.
11:40 a.m. We're looking for an empty trailer at the yard. We go back to L'Oreal and pick up an empty. It's the one that we dropped fully loaded earlier. We are headed to Mississippi for rice to deliver to Dallas, Texas.
And I just saw my first rice field. In Arkansas. But their cornfields are not as lush and green. They look burnt. It is like a dustbowl here. A hot dustbowl.
We stop in Dumas, Arkansas for the afternoon and evening. We can't pick up til around midnight, so we'll try to sleep a little and drive thru the night.
